Apocripha/0 Avatars

Apocripha/0 is based on a mild boys love PC game of the same name, for which Azusa Yuhki did the character designs and scenario. She is part of a doujinshi circle called "Jewel Master", whose works are based on games, but she is best known as the character designer of Fantastic Fortune, a "fantasy romance game" for girls, available for PC and Playstation. Apocripha/0 is her first serialized work, I believe, though she also has another manga currently running called "Megami no Dendou" in Megami Magazine. She has also done illustrations and manga for various magazines and anthologies.
To put it simply, Apocripha/0 is a story of angels and demons... with a twist. For once, it is a story told from the demons' point of view.
The Abyss is a generally peaceful land of "might makes right" and "survival of the fittest" ruled by a powerful king, but that peace is threatened with frequent attacks by marauding fallen angels upon the populace. Successors to this king are twin princes, Alex and Platina. Prince Alex finds his life turned upside down when the King suddenly orders the twins to engage in a "war of succession", deposing Alex as the crown prince in favor of determining his successor by a test of strength. The winner will become king and the loser will die. But will Alex and Platina really be able to kill each other? After all, despite being brothers, they are practically strangers.
Further complicating the situation are the strange dreams that Alex has been having that seem to have something to do with his brother and the fact that his advisor, Sapphirus, seems to be the only person who believes he can win. Not even Alex is confident. And as for Platina, his advisor, Jade, appears to be behind his sudden ambition for the throne, and Sapphirus suspects he might even have something to do with the king's sudden decision.
